Simon has substantial legal expertise in civil litigation negligence claims, including worker’s compensation and common law personal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and general negligence matters.

With qualifications in Justice, Law, Public Administration, and Corporate Governance, Simon specialises in compensation law, with a particular interest in government and emergency service workers. His expertise is especially notable in relation to occupational cancer claims focusing on firefighters, and he volunteers his knowledge and skills to the Firefighters Cancer Foundation Australia where he supports the foundation’s policy initiatives and advocates for the welfare of firefighters and their families impacted by cancer.

Simon has been appointed as a Referee to the Queensland Development Tribunal, is a member of the Queensland Law Society Rules Committee and has completed National Mediation Training and Accreditation through the Australian Mediation Association.
